Overcoming the lives of “if only’
Mid-week service

Keep adding truth to the truth and keep growing in the truth. So may Christian focus on how much they love Jesus. See ourselves in the Beloved. We are accepted and chosen!

John 11:3
Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

We are chosen and we just need to receive.

John 11:6
So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was.

Jesus love him but He did not go straightaway. This is because His timing is always right! We don’t understand why God does not move in what we think and when we think He should move.
Why did God wait till the Egyptians then He opened the Red Sea? He wanted to drown the Egyptians. He wants to drown our problems. Just follow God and He will turn things around for our good!

John 11:16
Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with Him.”

What God is really doing in our hearts and in our minds?

When Jesus got to where Lazarus was and they said, “if only…”

John 11:21
Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.

John 11:24-25
Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
Jesus said to her, “ I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

The word I Am means to stand up and recover. Jesus said I am the Resurrection and the Life! Jesus is our Stand Up and Recover.

A lot of people want to put God in the past and future but never want to deal with the present.

John 11:27
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
– This is future and not present.

If we walk in the past and it is like drinking poison and expecting others to die.

Jesus waited. Jesus healed. Jesus ministers to me. Jesus sees people valuable and precious!
Jesus wept over Jerusalem.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Everlasting life is outside of time!

4 days, Lazarus was not just dead, he was dead dead and dead.

Sometimes we run into situation without knowing He heard us! It might be night hour or we facing the Red Sea, but He is always on time

A little boy named David was in trouble. It looked like checkmate but the king still has his move!

The King still has one last move, when Jesus said it is finished, the devil thought he had checkmate, but he did not know God has His final move!

He was ill in bed, he never been ill for so long.. One day long. He never been sick. He asked for medicine for his chest. The next morning he phoned his doctor to come and see him. His doctor asked him to go down to see a surgeon. He went thru a machine and came out. He said he has never examine someone like this who is alive! He went into operating theatre. He put the surgeon hand on his chest and prayed for God to anoint the doctor.
A miracle miracle. He is the only person who function normally at this condition!

If he has gone earlier or later, he would not be using the doctor God wanted to.
As he was going to close him in the operation, he heard a voice said keep going on. God can use non-Christian.

Old things has passed away and everything has become new!
We are saved by grace! Everything is grace!

There is no failure that is fatal with God.
There is no condemnation. We have been made righteous.
